All the Winnipeg Restaurants Participating in La Poutine Week (With Pics)

Good news, Winnipeg. With Fried Chicken Fest ending on Jan. 27, you can FINALLY kick that New Year’s diet into high gear.

From Feb. 1-7, the city’s second annual La Poutine Week will give you more than 75 reasons to procrastinate a little bit longer.

Launched in Montreal back in 2012, La Poutine Week calls on chefs to serve up their unique take on the classic French-Canadian comfort food. Local foodies then have the job (privilege?) of trying as many poutines as possible and voting on their faves.

Last year’s People’s Choice winner was St. James Burger & Chip Co. for their Shepherd’s Pie Poutine (double-fried thick-cut chips, spiced with signature St. James Chip Spice, gravy, and real mozzarella and cheese curds).

With only seven days and so many poutines, the only question is where to begin. Check out this year’s local La Poutine Week participants and get planning. (Listed alphabetically)
