Meet the Inaugural Manitoba Pizza Week Winners

With the popularity of local culinary events like Le Burger Week and La Poutine Week, we knew it was only a matter of time before pizza got in on the fun. That time has come.

From June 4-10, Manitoba Pizza Week celebrated the best pies in the province by allowing restaurants to enter their tastiest creations in four categories (Best Pizza, Best Vegetarian Pizza, Best Gluten-Free Pizza and Best Bothwell Cheese Pizza). Local za lovers then had the duty (and privilege) of voting for their favourites.

After an overwhelming response (and a lot of pizza nights!), Manitoba Pizza Week has announced its list of first-ever winners. Check them out below.

BEST PIZZA

Rebel Pizza: Double Fat Boy

Original crust, homemade chili sauce, mozzarella, beef crumble, red onion, tomato, thinly-sliced dill pickles and Rebel blend shredded cheddar, finished with shredded iceberg lettuce and drizzled with mayo and yellow mustard.
