There's An Epic Jets-Inspired Corn Maze Opening In Winnipeg This Fall
The Winnipeg Jets’ incredible 2018 playoff run may seem like a distant dream by now, but all of the magical memories will come rushing back when you lay your eyes on a local farm’s epic new corn maze.
Located on Springfield Road, just outside the East Perimeter, Deer Meadow Farms unveiled their Winnipeg Jets-inspired maze on Aug. 28 — and as you can see, it’s pretty mind-blowing.
Spread across 10 acres of farmland, the intricate design took about 13 hours to create and features a gigantic goaltender and the Jets logo, along with the phrases “GO JETS GO,” “WE ARE WINNIPEG 2018” and “#WPGWHITEOUT.” Weaving between the various elements, you can also spot a map of Winnipeg.
While hockey season is still 38 days away (but who’s counting?!), the amazing maze will open to the public Wednesday, Aug. 29. Although no one has navigated the horticultural masterpiece yet, the owners expect it will take about 40-45 minutes to escape (while noting there are a few “easy outs” if you get stumped).
Deer Meadow Farms, which opened in 2009 and moved to its current location in September 2017, also offers up a ton of family-friendly activities perfect for fall, including the Animal Alley Petting Farm, Wild Game Preserve & Wagon Train Ride, Tired Mountain, Bale Pyramid, Bunnyville and a pumpkin patch. In October, they also have a Haunted Hayride and Forbidden Forest.
