7-Eleven is Throwing A Wild Block Party in Winnipeg this Wednesday

In case you (somehow) missed it, Manitoba was recently named “Slurpee Capital of the World” for the 19th consecutive year. And because bragging rights only go so far, the City of Winnipeg has designated a block of Rouge Road with the honourary name of Slurpee Way.

This Wednesday, 7-Eleven will make it official at a block party on Portage Avenue.

In addition to free Slurpees and cake, the event will feature live music, balloon artists, face painters, a wing-eating competition and an appearance by Mr. Slurpee himself. You’ll even be able to snap a pic with the world’s largest Slurpee cup.

The action goes down from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. this Wednesday, but don’t worry if you’re unable to make it down: because it’s 7/11, you can still grab a free small Slurpee at any local 7-Eleven location. Cheers to that!
