Brew at the Zoo: Tap Into the Craft Beer Community Sept. 14About
After a super successful event last fall, the Assiniboine Park Zoo is bringing back an after-hours, adult-only party to celebrate craft beer.
On Sept. 14, Brew at the Zoo will return with 40+ craft breweries, including local sud slingers like Half Pints, Trans Canada Brewing Co., and more. And because the event will take part in a section of the zoo that includes a portion of the Journey to Churchill exhibit, you may even catch a glimpse of some wildlife between sips.
Other notable breweries lined up for the party include Parallel 49 Brewing Company, Collective Arts Brewing, DAB, Steamworks Brewing Co., Stiegl and Surly Brewing Company. But even if you can’t find a brew that tickles your taste buds, not to worry; there will also be a small selection of wine sampling on hand.
And because you need something for your beer to wash down, grub will be available from the Tundra Grill and a selection of snack carts and food trucks.
Best of all, Brew at the Zoo is a great excuse to drink up for a good cause. Proceeds from the event will support the Assiniboine Park Conservancy.
Tickets for Brew at the Zoo are available Aug. 3 and go for $42.50 (regular) or $62.50 (premium). There is also a designated driver ticket available for $20 (includes unlimited coffee and pop). For more information visit Brew at the Zoo’s event page.
