Connect With Like-Minded Locals at the Creators Conference

There’s something in the water in Winnipeg.

If you haven’t noticed yet (which seems impossible, TBH), our city is filled with creative and innovative people of all ages. From chefs to makers, there’s no shortage of Winnipeggers creating original foods, products, services and activities. If you’re one of them, the Creators Conference is an event you won’t want to miss.

Organized by Jessica Worb and Sade Ogungbemi, both students in Red River College’s creative communications program, Creators Conference will give students and professionals the opportunity to connect and network with like-minded locals.

The evening will include free food, drinks and prizes from Tiber River Naturals, Rogue Wood Supply, Dimi Gallery and more. Guests will get to engage with interactive booths from The Print Shop, 6 Degrees Photography, CBC and Well Curated + Co.

Apart from the awesome booths and local prizes, guests will get to hear from the women who created what many believe to be the best shopping experience of the year: Chandra Kremski and Charla Smeall of Third + Bird.

Founded in 2008, Third + Bird Markets showcase work by small businesses and entrepreneurs, giving them an outlet to share their creativity. With over 20,000 Instagram followers and 135 vendors, Third + Bird continues to be an industry leader. Their strong branding, strive for personal connection, and genuine love for local artisans and shoppers is what makes Third + Bird so successful.

Chandra and Charla have experience with social media, branding, communications, project management, media planning, and of course, events. They also have a sharp eye for detail and aesthetic design.

The Creators Conference goes down at Red River College on Feb. 28 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
