Music festivals, The Forks and Augusts in Winnipeg are all pretty great on their own. Put them together and you get Interstellar Rodeo, one of the city’s biggest and most popular outdoor parties.
This year’s lineup is led by Broken Social Scene, Father John Misty and Beck, who will be making his first-ever appearance in The Peg. There’s also some killer local talent, including Anishinaabe MC Leonard Sumner and pop powerhouse Faouzia.
As stacked as the lineup is, we can’t talk about Interstellar without mentioning the wine. Curated by Ben MacPhee-Sigurdson, a literary editor and wine critic with the Winnipeg Free Press, the selection is as divine and diverse as the artists themselves.
The festival will also be serving up local brew from Half Pints and delicious eats from some of the city’s best food trucks.
Single day passes for Interstellar Rodeo start at $75, with weekend passes going for $149 (youth and seniors) and $249 (adult). For more information visit Insterstellar Rodeo online.
