Kitchen Kumite: Clash of Pans 2017
Location Kitchen Sync (370 Donald Street)
Ticket Price $35/$40/$60
There’s nothing like a little friendly competition – even in the kitchen.
On Sept. 24 and Oct. 1, Kitchen Kumite: Clash of Pans will feature some of Winnipeg’s top chefs battling it out, Iron Chef-style. The event will not only shine a spotlight on our local culinary talent, but also give the public an opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes in a professional kitchen. Best of all, proceeds from the event will support CancerCare Manitoba.
A total of eight teams and 16 chefs will go head-to-head to create their best possible dish using two secret ingredients per battle. All products will be sourced locally.
The chefs include: Claire Snowball and Jon Royal (Red River College Food Services); Randy Khounnoraj and Korene Craig (Khaohouse); Stephen Strecker (ERA Bistro); Matty Neufeld (Pine Ridge Hollow); Mark Sobervinas (Fruit by the Slice); Jeremy Senaris (Masterchef Canada runner up); Jackie Hildebrand and Alex Poitras (Hy’s Steakhouse); Kurt Kolbe (Sydney’s); Mike Robins (Sous Sol); Paul Eccles and Chris Gama (Clementine); and RJ Urbano and Aleck Amurao (Crème DeL’Essence).
