The Red Ember is hosting a next-level pizza party at The ForksAbout
Whether on Broadway, at Manyfest, or at the St. Norbert Farmers’ Market, you’ve probably enjoyed a slice or two (or too many to count) from The Red Ember. You know, that big red wood-fired pizza truck serving up gourmet pies with the pillowy crust and drool-worthy farm-fresh toppings.
When The Red Ember announced they’d be adding a permanent restaurant at The Common, we were stoked. Not only will we able to indulge in their delicious za year-round, but it’s another great addition to The Forks. Along with the beer hall, restaurants like Nuburger, cafes like Fools + Horses, and upcoming retail additions like Coal and Canary and McNally Robinson, things are really looking up at the once-underwhelming tourist hot spot.
And to make things even better, The Red Ember recently said they’ll be serving more than just za.
On Nov. 18, they’re also playing host to one of the top pizzaiolos in the world, Franco Pepe. Hailing from the tiny village of Caiazzo, Italy, Pepe will share his secrets and show off his technique live from the Red Ember kitchen, which just happens to be outfitted with the only traditional Neapolitan electric Forza Forni pizza oven in Winnipeg.
Oh, and you’ll also get to enjoy two slices of his secret recipe Neapolitan pizza, paired with a specially selected wine from the same region.
