Tot Wheels: Tasty taters with a gourmet twist
In the world of potato-based street food, you have French fries and you have poutine. And then you have the creations from Tot Wheels.
Drawing on the inspiration of the Ukrainian potato pancake recipe, owner/chef Scott Moffat’s tots are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. But that’s where the traditional take on taters stops. Scott serves his dishes up in unique combinations of delectable meats, cheeses, homemade sauces and local, seasonal vegetables.
With five staple items available on the menu, there are always plenty of options for even the pickiest of eaters. And with a “field to fork” philosophy, they are always fresh and sustainable.
Scott’s creative culinary magic doesn’t stop at tots, though. Every once in awhile, the truck will also include a special on the menu. Case in point, this drool-worthy burger combo: homemade patty with aged cheddar, lettuce, tomato, grilled onion and garlic aioli on a brioche bun.
